Journey to Belgravia Apparel
After executive roles with Linfox, Gazal and Australian Defence Apparel (ADA), Mike joined Belgravia Group to become General Manager in 2009. This journey gave him skills in dealing with the management of operational workplaces, account management and business development.
When Mike came to Belgravia Apparel, he found the culture needed a reset. Getting the right profile of customers, recruiting the best talent, returning to overseas production and embedding a new focus on developing an industry leading, online ordering platform were the first priorities. Once these basic foundations were laid, opportunities started to knock on the door.
Mike has now been with the business for 11 years, and Belgravia Apparel has an impressive and highly-valued customer base, is a respected industry leader and has tasted overseas success across 7 countries.
What lies ahead?
Belgravia Apparel has active movement around a few trends including sustainability, activewear into new markets, business collaborations both locally and overseas.
COVID protection initiatives and digital marketing projects are also on the cards – which makes for an interesting and dynamic few years to come.

Little known Facts
Mike is fast approaching his 20th swim at the Pier To Pub swim (over 1.2 kilometres) held at Lorne each January.
He has also been a member of the RMIT School of Fashion and Textiles Advisory Board for over 6 years. He is very proud of the global 7th place standing achieved by the University and its dedicated and talented educators.
Finally, Mike is a long-suffering (but happy!) St. Kilda supporter.
